Welcome to the official website of Winterley Methodist Brass Band, please let us know your views of the new look site by emailing the address below. The band was formed in 1938 at Winterley Methodist Church in the village of Winterley in Cheshire, the band still rehearses there every Thursday night 7:30 - 9:30pm. The band has never entered any competitions or received sponsorship. Instead the band prides itself on the happy atmosphere and playing ability of some of its current and past members. Members of the band play with other bands such as Silk Brass or Crewe Co-op and some members even used to play for Fodens.
Players Required
The band is always on the look out for up and coming talent, many of Winterley's ex-members have gone on to play with bands such as Black Dyke. The band has no minimum entry requirement, so everyone is welcome, if you would like to come and join the band or just play with us for one evening then please email us at: winterleybrassband@hotmail.co.uk
